A dado blade or a dado saw is a specialized type of circular saw that is used for cutting dados or grooves in wooden furniture. There are generally two common types of dado blades, namely the wobble blade and stacked dado blade.

Dado blades come in many varieties and designs. They vary in their height, width, depth, size, speed, angle, etc. Some dadoes are designed specifically for the wood, while others are used for other materials. Generally, dadoes are made up of five separate pieces: a center, two ends, two sides, and a flat part. The main reason behind their existence is that they cut horizontal grooves without interfering with one another.

Dado saws can either be manually operated or electric powered. The latter is the usual design and most efficient but requires constant supervision. While manual operation of the machine does not require any extra effort, it is not suitable for beginners and inexperienced users.
To start with, place the blade of your dado in the ground and ensure that it is level.

Then, apply some wood glue to the blade and stick it to the surface. Make sure that the glue penetrates the wood. It should be applied evenly on the wood. In order to achieve a smooth surface, make sure that the glue has completely dried before finishing. If the glue dries too much, you may end up with chipped edges. This will make it easier to remove the glue from the wood.

Now it is time to cut the piece of wood with the blade. If you are using a long wooden board, you will need to make sure that the piece is perfectly perpendicular to the blade. It can be done by first removing a piece of wood with the side opposite to the blade. Place the wood on the blade and then place the blade in place. You will need to hold the piece firmly against the blade while cutting.

Once the wood glue has been completely dried, trim the remaining edges by hand. Once you have done this, glue the blade into place. With your new dado blade, you are ready to work with your wood. And if you are using an expensive piece of wood, just check its finish.
Before installing the dado blades, you will need to clean the wood thoroughly so that there will be no dust particles on the blade.

If you want to install the saw easily, it is best to install it on a cement base so that you will not have a hard time maintaining the saw.
You need to take several wooden planks and cut them into different lengths. These strips will serve as guides for your dado blades. These strips can be placed together in rows and you will be able to form a single horizontal strip. Once your planks are ready, put glue them to each other to form a single strip that is about six inches wide. Now the dado blade will run along the planks.
